Trakem 100

Trakem 100 contains tapentadol hydrochloride, a dual-action pain reliever that works by:

1. Activating μ-opioid receptors (like traditional opioids), and

2. Inhibiting norepinephrine reuptake, enhancing its pain-relieving effects through both opioid and noradrenergic pathways.

Tapentadol offers strong analgesia similar to morphine but with lower gastrointestinal side effects like nausea and constipation. It is often used in neuropathic pain, musculoskeletal pain, postoperative pain, and chronic lower back pain.

• Primary uses: Moderate to severe acute or chronic pain
• Onset: ~30–60 minutes
• Duration: ~4–6 hours
• Warnings: Avoid with CNS depressants, alcohol, or MAO inhibitors
