Propranolol 40mg is a non-selective beta-blocker prescribed for hypertension, performance anxiety, migraine prophylaxis, and essential tremor. It blocks beta-adrenergic receptors, resulting in reduced heart rate, lower blood pressure, and dampened physical symptoms of anxiety such as tremor or palpitations. Propranolol is popular for off-label use in performance anxiety as it calms without sedation.
